INVITATION TO SUBMIT BIDS
TO THE STATE OF VERMONT MILITARY DEPARTMENT
FOR BLDG 5 HVAC AND LIGHTING
The State of VT Military Department is soliciting bids for the Building 5 HVAC and Lighting project at
Camp Johnson, in Colchester, Vermont. Sealed bids will be received by the State of Vermont Military
Department, Building #5, Camp Johnson, 789 National Guard Road, Colchester, VT 05446-3099, no later
than 2:00PM, Wednesday, 14 June, 2017, at which time they will be opened. Bidders may send PDF bids
to the Project Manager by email. It is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure their bid arrives before the
deadline to be considered. The deadline for questions is 2 p.m. 7 June 2017.

http://www.blueprintsetc.com. There is a non-refundable fee for each set of documents.

1. This project will consist of, but not be limited to, labor and material to replace the Bldg5 boiler, air
systems, and lighting and to install a VRV cooling and heating system.
2. The project will be at Building 5 on Camp Johnson, in Colchester, Vermont.
3. A Vermont Department of Public Safety criminal background check is required for the job superintendent
and all crew leaders if not presently on file with the CFMO and current within one year. A written copy
must be given to the project manager prior to work starting. They can be obtained at contractor’s expense at

4. Bonds: Performance, Guaranty and Payment bonds are required. A bid bond is not required.
4. All work will be coordinated through the project manager with the Bldg5 staff to minimize disruption.
Contractor should be prepared to discuss schedule at a pre-construction meeting to be held after the contract
is awarded.
There will be a mandatory pre-bid walk-through meeting at Bldg 5 on Camp Johnson, in Colchester,
Vermont Wednesday, 31 May, 2017 at 8:00 a.m.
Directions: Rte. 15 E: Passing Saint Michael’s College on your L, continue past entrance to Fletcher Allen
hospital (on R), then take immediate R into crossover lane to enter Camp Johnson.
Rte. 15 W: From light at intersection of Rte. 15 and Susie Wilson Rd, pass through two lights, take Right at
third to enter Camp Johnson. NOTE: Contractors must contact Project Manager by email prior to visiting
Camp Johnson to be listed as guests at the security checkpoint. Guards will retain driver’s license for the
duration of stay. Follow National Guard Rd approximately 1/5th mile, turn L on Veterans Rd. Second
building on R. Follow the Pre-bid sign.
