Selection of Hong Kong Schools Team - Athletics, Swimming and Table Tennis
This is to inform principals of all member secondary and primary schools that, the 6th
Children of Asia International Sports Games (6th CAISG) (第六屆亞洲兒童國際運動會)
第六屆亞洲兒童國際運動會) will be
held from 5-17 July in 2016 in Russia.
The Games are conducted with the aim of promoting ideas of the Olympic Movement,
development of children and youth sports, and strengthening international sports competition. The
Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China has delegated to the Federation
administrative responsibility for organising the Hong Kong Delegation to the Games.
In order to provide more opportunities for Hong Kong students to participate in different kind
of sports in Asia, the Board of the Federation has decided to participate in 3 sports, namely:
Athletics, Swimming and Table Tennis.
In order to select top students to represent Hong Kong, the Federation will conduct selection
trials for these events in the coming months. In general, the students must meet the following
eligibility criteria to be representatives in the Hong Kong Schools Team:
1. Must be a full time student, studying in a Member Secondary or Primary School of
HKSSF in the 2015-2016 school season;
2. Have resided in Hong Kong for three years and holding valid HK Identity Document;
3. Age Limit :
Athletics: Age 13-15 (Born on or between 1/ 1/ 2001 – 31/ 12/ 2003);
Swimming: Boys : Age 15-16 (Born on or between 01/01/2000 –31/12/2001)；
Girls : Age 13-14 (Born on or between 01/01/2002 –31/12/2003)
Table Tennis: Age 13-16 (Born on or between 01/01/2000-31/12/2003);
As the age limits may include Primary School students, Member Primary Schools are most
welcome to nominate students who meet the required standards to take part in the Team.

According to the decision made by Table Tennis Technical and Selection
Sub-Committee of the Federation, 8 Boys and 8 Girls who meet the following
standards will be invited to join the Selection Trial. Details of Selection Trials
will be informed in April 2016.
Member Secondary & Primary Schools:
~ top 6 position in the Singles Event of the All Hong Kong Schools Jing Ying
Table Tennis Tournament 2015-2016;
(Top 6 position in the Singles Event of the Primary Schools of the above
Tournament did not meet the eligibility criteria for age limits of the Games)
~ Remaining quota will be given to the highest ranked in (U18) Singles Event
(counting to the nearest date to 31 March 2016) of the Hong Kong Table
Tennis Association who also meet the eligibility criteria.

Please be informed that the 6th Children of Asia International Sports Games will be held from 5 – 17 July
2016 in Yakutsk, Russia. All member primary schools are welcomed to nominate elite athletes to participate.
Details are as follows:
Criteria
(1) Full-time students of the HKSSF member primary schools in 2015-2016 academic year;
(2) Born between 1/ 1/ 2001 – 31/ 12/ 2003 (both dates inclusive);
(3) Resided in Hong Kong for a minimum of 3 years and holding a valid Hong Kong Identity Document.
Notes
(1) Nominees should provide the results of Major Event (主項) & Side Event (副項) for reference.
(2) Results of Major Event (主項) should meet the attached Selection Standards (Annex 1).
(3) Athletics Technical & Selection Sub-Committee reserves the right in making final decisions on the
selection of the team.
(4) Provision of nominees’ competition BEST results of ALL individual events organized by the HKSSF
and Hong Kong Amateur Athletics Association (HKAAA) and/or other sanctioned by the HKAAA
between 1 September 2015 and 17 April 2016 (both dates inclusive). Proof of results should be
attached for verification.
(5) Results with Wind Speed should be provided whenever necessary.
(6) Please submit one form for each nominee. Incompleted form(s) will not be considered under any
circumstances.
(7) Schools are advised to visit the HKSSF’s website on or after 22 April 2016 (Fri) to check the
nominating list.
All Nomination Forms will ONLY be accepted in electronic format. Please follow the instructions on the
HKSSF’s web-site. Detailed information of the Games can be downloaded from the HKSSF’s web-site
