The International Burch University`s (IBU) newly formed student

The International Burch University's (IBU) newly formed student theatre group “Art IBU” had their
first play performance entitled “Yakaza”, on 19th of March in university conference hall. Exciting onehour psychological drama was watched attentively by numerous attendees. The Art IBU players
received a commemorative plaques from IBU Rector Prof. Dr. Huseyin Padem, for their play skills
and professionalism.
The theater play was written and directed by M.A.Canbaz and the topic and the whole play is
inspired by the great work of Turkish poet, novelist, and philosopher Necip Fazil Kisakurek. “Yakaza”
is a time zone…It is the time when the real events cannot be separated from the illusions. The play
aims to remind to a question everyone should be asking themselves… How many times unwanted
guest did knock your door? And how many times did you let this unwanted guest in?
After the show Rector Prof. Dr. Huseyin Padem congratulated students expressing his fascination by
the performance and professional approach, emphasizing that this very first theater play exceeded
all expectations and as such will be remembered for very long time.
Art IBU student theater group, after their successful performance of the first play in have already
started preparations to step out in front of the audience with the play in Bosnian language.
