The RCO Certificate of Accredited Membership (CAM)
Organ Playing: Repertoire Ideas Stages 1–3
At each of the three CAM Stages a performance of three contrasting pieces is required.
The choice of repertoire is entirely at the candidate’s discretion, but the chosen
repertoire should be at least equivalent to (respectively) ABRSM or TCL Grades 2 (Stage
1), 4 (Stage 2), and 6 (Stage 3). See CAM, Requirements Stages 1–3 for further details.
If preferred, programmes may be drawn wholly or in part from the relevant Stage in this
document. Each Stage offers suggestions about works by J. S. Bach and covers other
repertoire in (broadly) pre- and post-1800 lists. If choosing pieces entirely from this
document, there is no obligation to play one work from each of the three lists. For the
most part, modern, easily obtainable anthologies are cited.
