LVMPD Officers to Participate
in Tip-A-Cop Event
On Thursday April 21, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. members of the Las Vegas
Metropolitan Police Department will participate in the annual Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser.
Officers will serve as celebrity waiters and their tips will benefit Special Olympics
Nevada.
The LVMPD has joined with Claim Jumper Restaurants to raise money for Special
Olympics, an international sports organization which encourages and empowers
individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Tip-A-Cop events are part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run which is one of the
largest fundraising arms of Special Olympics Nevada. Tips are tax-deductible and
support sports training and competition.
LVMPD personnel will be at the following Claim Jumper locations:
 1100 South Fort Apache Road
 6629 South Las Vegas Boulevard
