On 1st November 2010 we launch Supporter Arena, a new social media football quiz game on
Facebook and mobile platforms.
Supporter Arena brings together fans, clubs and sponsors in one social media area and, by playing
quizzes, supporters can earn real money for their favourite clubs at the same time as competing with
each other and also creating their own virtual arena.
We are giving away 40% of our net sponsorship revenue to member clubs of all levels, who will
benefit from potentially huge revenue streams without spending a penny. For sponsors and partners
there is the added value of statistical demographic feedback to provide measurable brand awareness.
Fans learn all about their company or campaign messages almost subliminally and the evidence of
success is staggering.
Having secured valuable approval from Facebook in California, the single-city pilot version in
Gothenburg has produced an amazing response for such a small concentration area, with more than
6,000 users registering to play in just six weeks and more than 250,000 quizzes played so far. We
therefore believe the reaction from a full UK launch, starting next week, is potentially huge.
We would like to invite Manchester City to become a member of Supporter Arena. By becoming a
member, you enable us to pass on all revenue commissions generated by your fans playing quizzes
in Supporter Arena. This revenue can be used by the club in any way you require, including helping to
fund community projects you support.
There is no catch; becoming a member club is free and Supporter Arena’s goals include a
commitment to invest in the future development of football in the community. With your help, we can
build bigger online communities and raise more money for the clubs and their chosen projects.
