you to participate in the required laboratory exercises. Signed contracts MUST be
turned in by January 6th.
3. Materials Needed: The following materials are required by each student!
 Large, three-ring binder
 Loose-leaf notebook

to bring assignments to class and failure to turn in assignments on time will
result in a student receiving a 10% deduction in his/her grade per day that the
assignment is late.
 NO TALKING when the instructor is speaking. If you respect this authority, I will
respect you.
 Raise your hand if you wish to speak.
 Stay in your seat until you are dismissed by the instructor.
 Be polite to everyone. No harsh words or profanity will be tolerated.
6. Absences & Tardies: It is very important for you to be here EVERYDAY if at all possible.
If in the event you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to check with me and get your
assignments. I will NOT approach you with make-up work. The make-up material you
acquire from me must be submitted to me in a timely manner.
7. Please note: Upon request, parents/guardians shall have the ability to inspect the
following items: instructional materials; teaching materials; teaching aids; handouts;
and tests that are developed by and graded by their child’s teacher. Parents wishing to
inspect such materials should contact the building level principal in writing.
Instructor’s Note:
I have the utmost respect for each of you and I will work very hard to make this an enjoyable
class and school year. I expect from you, in return, the same respect for me as a person and as a
teacher, for my classroom, and for the materials we will use in the laboratory.
It is my responsibility to provide you with a top quality education and to provide you with an
understanding of the sciences. I have high expectations for all of you and will challenge you
academically. You will experience academic success if you set you goals high and strive to reach
those goals. I look forward to having each of you in my class this semester. Let’s have a great
year!
Sincerely,
Jeremy Tate
