Overview
Alpha-3 CMP™ (Concentrated Marine Phytoplankton) is an unique nutrient-rich blend of select species
of microscopic algae harvested from the pristine temperate coastal waters of the Pacific Northwest. This
is the only known product to take natural marine phytoplankton communities containing a complete
suite of marine trace nutrient elements in proportion to those found naturally in human tissues. Below

Thalassiosira, and Chaetoceros, commonly known as Diatoms.

recommended daily dose.
Clinical Evidence
A double blind randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial, conducted by Dr. Glenn Richardson of
Department of Health and Education, University of Utah, USA, studied the health effects of Alpha-3
CMP™ Marine Phytoplankton on apparently healthy individuals over a 90-day period.
Study Design
The design employed a mixed-methods sequential approach combining quantitative and qualitative
measurements in order to robustly answer research questions in two phases. Forty one (41) healthy
subjects (26 female, 15 male, age between 20-58) were randomly assigned into either the treatment or
placebo control group. The treatment group were given 3 capsules daily for 90 days.
Study Results
The One Way RMANOVA (Repeated Measures Analysis of Variances) results indicate that there was a
significant increase in the measurements of the immune function marker % CD3 among subjects in the
Alpha-3 CMP™ Marine Phytoplankton group. Additional significant findings were found for the
Emotional Wellbeing subscale of the SF-36.

In addition, the study also found that most of the test subjects taking the Alpha-3 CMP™ Marine
Phytoplankton had experienced improvement in mood, general energy and sleeping patterns as well. Other
reported health benefits found in this study include reduced flu symptoms, improved sleep quality, changes in skin
softness and appearance, as well as reduced arthritis pain.
