EPSRC and MRC Centres for Doctoral Training in Tissue
Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Joint Conference 2016

The EPSRC-MRC CDT in Regenerative Medicine warmly invites you to the 7th annual joint conference at the
University of Manchester. This is one of the largest UK-based annual conferences in the area of Tissue
Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. The programme will include presentations, a poster session and
internationally renowned keynote speakers.
The conference is broad ranging, encapsulating the scope of cutting edge research in Regenerative
Medicine. Research themes include:

Biomaterials
Stem Cell Biology
Tissue Engineering
Extracellular Matrix and Inflammation
Translational Gene/Cell Therapy
Nanomedicine
Confirmed keynote speakers for the conference are:

Professor Geoffrey Raisman FRS – Chair of Neural Regeneration, UCL
Professor Kostas Kostarelos – Professor of Nanomedicine, University of Manchester
Professor Liam Grover – Professor of Biomaterials Science, University of Birmingham
Dr Saba Alzabin – Senior Inflammation Research Scientist, Epistem Ltd.
Students from the EPSRC and MRC Centres for Doctoral Training in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative
Medicine are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations. Students from other institutions or
programmes are invited to submit abstracts for poster presentations. The deadline for abstract submission
is 15 May.
