Partnership Resource Teams:
Our Focus Today
3
Partnership Resource Teams
• Expertise is matched to institution’s Areas of Focus
• Not just a single visit: Each team commits to 3 visits
or more as needed
• The visits are designed to:
1. Understand issues and identify scope of support
2. Develop ideas for institution’s Innovation and
Effectiveness Plan to address Areas of Focus
3. Provide follow up support as needed
4
Partnership Resource Teams
• Institutional CEO completes a short Letter of Interest to
identify Areas of Focus for technical assistance. That
initiates the process.
• Well before the initial PRT visit, the CEO, with the
participation of the Academic Senate president and others
as appropriate, develops a somewhat more detailed (but
still concise) description of each Area of Focus.
• Seed grants of up to $150,000 are available after the second
visit to expedite implementation of institution’s Innovation
and Effectiveness Plan (available until funds run out).
5
Partnership Resource Teams
• 35 institutions so far have been selected to receive technical
assistance by PRTs.
– Spring 2015 cohort: 8 institutions
– Fall 2015 cohort: 15 colleges, 1 center, and 1 district
– Spring 2016 cohort: 10 institutions
• PRTs are drawn from a pool of more than 230 subject matter experts
from within CCC system.
• PRT Training occurs twice each year, through a webinar and two
face-to-face workshops.
• Volunteer to join the pool from which PRTs are drawn!
