2. Terms and Conditions
Access to Space@VT is a privilege and is revocable. Students must adhere to the following
“do’s and don’ts” upon entering the facility:
1. Do’s
□ Make sure to shut all exterior access doors behind you.
□ Clean up the space you use after using it.
□ Place all chairs back in their original locations after moving them.
□ Feel free to use the kitchen, microwave, and coffee pots in a responsible
fashion. Clean any dishes used.
□ Dispose of trash and recycling in the applicable waste basket.
□ Use the “buddy system”. Always have somebody with you while in the
laboratory rooms.
2. Don’ts
□ Allow anyone into the facility that doesn’t have access.
□ Lend your Hokie passport to anyone.
□ Disturb graduate student desks.
□ Use office equipment or supplies unless you have authorization.
□ Prop open any exterior access doors.
3. FAQ
□ When do I have swipe card access to the facility?
During business hours (8AM – 6PM) Mon-Fri, excluding holidays.

No, Space@VT areas are not public, and should not be shared with non-Space@VT
personnel.
Can I use the refrigerator?
Yes, provided that you throw away any excess food. Food that has been left for a
reasonable amount of time will be thrown away.
Can I use the microwave?
Yes, if you keep the area and microwaves clean and tidy. Report any kitchen misuse to
Debbie Collins.
Can I use tableware and utensils from the kitchen cabinets?
Yes, however you must clean any reusable tableware or utensils after use and put back
in their original location(s).
