Practical Advice and a Disclaimer for Candidates
We understand that financing further assessment tests or medical evaluations can be
very difficult for many potential testers. In recognition of these hardships faced by many
individuals, we have compiled a list of university clinics that may offer the type of testing
or evaluation you are seeking at a discounted rate. It is important to note, however, that
the wait time can vary significantly for prospective patients, depending upon the time of
year and the services needed. The costs and fees, as outlined on the list, may also have
been modified or changed altogether for the services requested. The clinics listed also
have varying policies on the types of insurance accepted, if any, for services administered.
Please view this list as a general resource and starting point if you need to obtain more
testing or documentation for the purpose of requesting accommodations. As always, we
encourage potential testers to plan well in advance to complete their testing and obtain
the necessary documentation.
In addition to the listing of clinics provided, individuals may contact their state’s
Department of Vocational Rehabilitation if you have previous disability documentation that
has since expired. Depending upon your place of residence, there may also be nonprofit
service providers or community health clinics that may provide free or reduced price
services.
