1994-1997 The correlation between Na+/Ca2+ exchange and intracellular cAMP/cGMP
Conclusion:The intracellular cGMP plays a key role in the activation of Ca efflux through Ca2+/Na+
exchange and Ca pump mechanisms while intracellular cAMP activate Ca influx by Na/Ca

Conclusion: - The pump induced cell volume is a powerful mechanism through which metabolic
regulation of membrane permeability, excitability, chemosensitivity and pump activity are realized.
1976-1978 - Metabolic regulation of cell volume.
Conclusion: - The electrogenic Na pump is the main mechanism by which metabolism regulates the
cell volume.
1969-1976 - Regulation mechanism of rhythmic activity of Helix neurons.

pump dependent process.
1965-1969 - Using standard mycroelectrode and plane photometry technique the electrode properties of
the membrane of Helix giant neurons were studied.
Conclusion: - The resting potential of snail neurons consists of two components of different nature:
first is purely diffused, and is due to the presence of ionic gradient on the membrane, second is
generated by electrogenic sodium pump.
