TEACHERS ARE INFLUENTIAL
BIBLE TEACHERS – MORE INFLUENTIAL
JAMES 3:1
Not many of you should become
teachers, my fellow believers,
because you know that we who
teach will be judged more strictly.
TEACHERS ARE JUDGED BY MEN
• IN THEIR ACTIONS
• IN THEIR SPEECH
• Show no favouritism to the rich.
• Do not boast about themselves.
• Do not despise the poor (2:1-13).
• Do not slander others.
• Show mercy through good deeds
(2:14-26).
• Do not flatter others (3:3-18).
TEACHERS ARE JUDGED BY GOD
A. True teachers handle the
Word of God correctly
B. True teachers have the ability
to save lives (James 1:21).

TEACHERS ARE JUDGED BY GOD
A. False teachers lead others
astray through false teaching
B. False teachers will be severely
judged (2 Peter 2:1-3).

• Do not be too eager to teach or preach God’s Word
• Take the task of teaching or preaching God’s Word seriously
• Study the Word of God diligently and faithfully
• Keep a close watch on your words and actions
