NBNU Preparing for Next Round of Negotiations

NBNU Preparing for Next Round of Negotiations
The nurses, part III negotiating committee started preparations for the renewal
of the collective agreement covering nurses in hospitals and community care
facilities with an orientation session on June 29, 2010.
While the current agreement does not expire until December 31, 2010, the
Union will now start on our process of consulting with members on what they
need in our next agreement. In early September, we will send a detailed survey
to every member to get information, input and your bargaining priorities.
Members will receive the survey by mail and it will also be available on the
website. Members will have the option of returning the survey by mail or
submitting their answers on-line. Responses to the survey will then be reviewed
at a bargaining conference later in the year and results will be made available
to members.
