INTECH has been successful in making inroads in the
Chinese Oil & Gas market through its first major projects
awarded by Unocal East China Sea: developing
commissioning procedures for the Chuandongbei Sour
Gas Plant in China’s largest onshore gas project jointly
owned by Chevron and PetroChina.
This project has not only helped establish a footprint in
China for future projects, it has also helped in develop an
O&M Delivery Team within INTECH. INTECH has
established an office in China while keeping this project in
view. A CSG Lead and other staff have been hired to work
on taxation & insurance matters for the new office.
After successfully completing commissioning procedures’
documentation, INTECH was awarded the
Instrumentation, Control and Electrical
Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Completion
Services for the same site.
Since 1992, INTECH has completed over 700 major
upstream onshore and offshore Oil & Gas projects for
most Majors, leading NOCs, and many IOCs working both
directly as well as subcontractor to leading global as well
as local EPCs.
INTECH deployed 60 O&M people initially and raised the
number of personnel up to 75 by the end of 2014.
INTECH provided a multifaceted team having expertise in
I&C, F&G, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, Process,
Analyzers, Material Management, CCTV, Commissioning
and Logistics.
INTECH has delivered many projects and systems under
collaborative relationship with key Oil & Gas OEMs
including Schlumberger, Halliburton, Weatherford,
Superior, Cameron and others. INTECH is a vendor
neutral automation solutions provider with expertise with
almost all instrumentation and control vendor equipment.
This has been the largest INTECH Commissioning project
team ever assembled to serve on any project in the world.
The main challenges faced in this project included
multi-disciplinary roles which required global hiring;
covering technical profiling and headhunting for
resources.
