Virtues
Self – Discipline
What Is Self-Discipline?
Self-discipline means self-control. It is getting yourself
to do what you really want to do, rather than being
tossed around by your feelings like a leaf in the wind.
You don’t lose control of yourself when you feel hurt
or angry, but decide how you are going to talk and
what you are going to do. With self-discipline, you
take charge of yourself.
P & C News
Tea Towel Fundraiser
The P&C is happy to report that $1187.50 was raised
from the sale of our school tea towels. The teachers and
children did a fabulous job, the artwork is creative and
the children have been entertained whilst finding
themselves and their friends and having a laugh in the
process (hopefully whilst drying the dishes at the same
time!). Proceeds were to be used for replacement of the
school BBQ, however, after some minor repairs it
remains in good working order, so money will now be
put towards the approved purchase of cafe blinds for the
western kindergarten veranda area, so that the children
can enjoy outdoor play in the colder wet months. All tea
towel orders have now been distributed. Should you
have any queries please contact Danelle on 0408 326
929 or [email protected]
Interschool Athletics Carnival
The Interschool Athletics Carnival for Year 4
– 7 children will be held this week, Friday,
19th September at Como Secondary College.
Children involved in jumping events will be
leaving the school before 8.45 for a 9.15am start. The rest
of the team will be departing the school at 10.40am for an
11.00am start. Competitors will need to take their lunch, a
drink and a hat. All parents are welcome to attend. We
wish the school team all the best in representing Como
Primary School.
