TITLE: Regional Portfolio Lead

ROLE PURPOSE:
Then main purpose of the role is to ensure that the Regional Portfolio is agreed, monitored and
delivered within the agreed parameters of time, cost, scope and quality.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: PMO Manager
Staff reporting to this post: no direct reports will be managed. 5 to 10 matrix reporting resources
may be managed.
Budget Responsibilities: The PMO manages, at global level, a portfolio of 100+ projects with overall
value of USD 10 to 15 Million.
Role Dimensions: The Regional Portfolio Lead is a key role for ensuring the regional portfolio
remains fully aligned to the overall SCI’s portfolio and gets agreed and delivered within the agree
parameters.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Portfolio Management
 Implements and promotes best practices for managing the regional portfolio and projects.
 Ensures the regional portfolio remains with integrity, coherent and aligned with the corporate
portfolio.
 Provides accurate, relevant and timely information for portfolio prioritisation and decision
making.
 Publishes dashboards and reports relevant for decision making and monitoring.
Risk Management
 Implements and promotes best practice risk management process and tolls for the project
management community.
 Creates and maintains regional portfolio risk register.
 Ensures proper prioritisation and escalation of risks from projects to the Portfolio Office.
 Provides training, coaching and mentoring to project managers for managing risks across
initiatives within the regional portfolio.
Capacity Management
 Implements and promotes best practice capacity and resource management process and tools
for all initiatives within regional portfolio.
 Ensures consistent planning of capacity and resources across the portfolio.
 Provides capacity reports and dashboards relevant for decision making.
 Ensures dependencies are well defined and tracked for all initiatives within regional portfolio.
Change Control
 Implements and promotes best practice change control process and tools for the management

Ensures changes to the initiatives within the regional portfolio are registered, documented, and
approved according the governance.
 Provides training, coaching and mentoring to project managers for managing and controlling
changes across initiatives within the portfolio.
 Initiates investigation and documents finding when changes have been done without following
appropriate process.
Quality Assurance
 Builds a quality mind-set, through the implementation and promotion of best practice and
standards.
 Execute project health checks and works with the project management teams to ensure gaps
are addressed.
 Ensures the portfolio is in compliance with legislation, regulation, internal policies and
standards
Project Management
 Prepares project documentation as defined by the SCI project management methodology
 Builds, agrees and control plans to achieve outputs within the scope, cost, time and quality
agreed with the sponsor.
 Assigns and monitors work packages to teams and individuals for the creation of products and
services
 Maintains project’s logs and escalates to sponsor and project board when deviations are
identified.
Business Partnering
 Represents the portfolio management team within the regional office
 Collaborates with colleagues, suppliers and customers to deliver objectives within the region.
 Understands business requirements, defines and implements change management activities to
ensure the workforce assimilates and exploits the provided technology.



 Experience in managing portfolios with multinational projects
 Strong leader with experience in leading teams spread across multiple countries.
 Strong planning and time management capabilities.
 Excellent communication skills (written & oral English), including the ability to communicate and
present to stakeholders.
 Substantial experience and detailed knowledge of project management practices, standards and
methodologies.
 Able to build strong relationships within the organisation and capable to influence others.
 Strong discipline and methodological, capable to analyse and extract key information to be

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Lead Regional Change Manager will form a key part of our new Change and Deployment (C&D)
team, which will ensure the timely implementation of new supporting systems and business processes
across the 55 country offices.
The role holder will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on critical projects, whilst
ensuring all key stakeholders in the Regional and Country offices understand the C&D methodology
and its application, for facilitating and supporting the country offices with each project roll out and
consolidation; ensuring active country/regional office engagement and ownership to achieve a successful
implementation.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
Reports to: Change & Deployment Team Leader
Role Dimensions:
 Provides leadership and guidance to Regional Change Managers (assigned per project)
 Close cooperation with the assigned C&D change managers, process owners and Management
Team Members of the countries and the region
 Frequent sound boarding with all members of the C&D Team on progress, issues and approach

 Verify the comprehensiveness of country plans for roll out and consolidation, and provide
constructive feedback

ROLE PURPOSE:
The Technical Trainer is a new role sitting within a new Change and Deployment Team that has been
created to secure timely implementation of new supporting systems and business processes across our
55 country offices.
The Technical Trainer will be responsible for training selected staff within the Regional and Country
offices on new systems and business processes, along with training the C&D team itself. The Technical
Trainer will on occasion be involved in the design and production of the training materials, otherwise
he/she will interact closely with the Project Manager and IT Developers to ensure the user friendliness
and ease of implementation of the training material provided by the project team. The Technical
Trainer will deliver training via various methods and channels, including face to face training, Training of
Trainers, online Q&A sessions etc. to ensure a successful roll out and consolidation.

 Works closely with the project teams in London and key stakeholders in the Regional and

Work closely with the Project team to support with the design and production of training
materials (e-learning, manuals etc.) where required
Where those training materials are produced by the project team ensure their user friendliness
and ease of implementation
Proactively verify whether all preconditions are in place for training (attendance, systems)
Validate the training plan as proposed by the Global Change Manager and the Regional Change
Manager
Design training programs appropriate to the change project, audience and situation
Deliver the training in an engaging and user friendly manner, ensuring all stakeholders receive
the necessary training and highlighting any issues to the Regional Change Manager
Verify the full understanding of the trained staff, ensuring readiness for roll out and
consolidation
Monitor and record the quality of all training and scrutinise participant’s feedback to ensure
learning is well received. Evaluate and revise training as required.
Act as the reference point for ongoing training requirements and queries
Closely interact with the other two Technical Trainers to ensure continuous learning and
improvement

An accredited training or adult learning qualification/equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
 Proven experience of training adults in the field, using modern methods, in systems and
business processes with regards to at least one of the following functions: Finance/Awards, HR,
Logistics
 Knowledge of, and experience with, a variety of training methods; ability to be innovative and
flexible according to the situation to ensure effective delivery
