Year 3/4 Homework: Choose from the activities below. You must choose at LEAST one activity for each half term. The first piece must be completed before Wednesday 12th October and the second piece must be completed before Wednesday 7th December in order to build in time to present your work to your class. You may want to include photographs and pictures to make your presentation more interesting. If you would like to do more than two activities across the term, you are welcome! Imagine that you met Tutankhamun in the afterlife. Write or record an interview relaying the conversation. What would you ask him? What would his answers be? Research a pharaoh or Egyptian God or Goddess and present your findings in an interesting way. Create a collage of a Nile crocodile. Make a flatbread or sweetbread containing dates, honey or figs. Please take photos of your cooking to show the class. Create an advertisement for a job in Ancient Egypt, such as a carpenter, doctor, jewellery maker, farmer or assistant to the pharaoh. Imagine that you are an archaeologist that has just discovered a pharaoh’s tomb. Write a letter saying how you feel about your discovery. Present some work on the computer on any aspect of Ancient Egyptian life. Create some number sentences or write a coded message using Egyptian hieroglyphic letters or numbers. Find out what a ‘shaduf’ is and make a working model.
