PLAYER INFORMATION
Schedule
36-hole stroke play competition for 12-18 years old players, 18-hole stroke play competition for 8-11
year old players who play two 9-hole rounds.
Saturday, April 29: First round starting times from the #1 tee, from 7:00 A.M. – 2:36 P.M.
Sunday, April 30: Second round starting times from the #1 tee, beginning at 7:00 A.M. Contestants
will be re-paired by first round scores. The 14-15 and 16-18 year old division pairings for both boys
and girls will be combined for round 2.
All divisions will play within the same timeframe as they played round 1 (Example: Girls 14-18 from
7:00am-8:44am, Boys 14-18 from 8:52am-12:52pm, etc.)

Boys 14-18 – Blue Tees: ~6672 yards
Boys 12-13 – Yellow Tees: ~5830 yards
Girls 14-18 – Yellow Tees: ~5830 yards
Girls 12-13 – Red Tees: ~5475 yards
Boys and Girls 8-11 – Red Tees: Front 9 ~2767 yards
DRESS CODE
a. PROPER ATTIRE FOR BOYS AND GIRLS
Neat and clean clothing, shoes, sleeves and collars on boys’ shirts and collars on girls’ shirts.
Boys shirts must be tucked in, girls shirts must be worn as the manufacturer intended. Boy’s
shorts must not be lower than the bottom of the knee. Capri pants, shorts, skirts and skorts on
girls that are appropriate for golf and worn as the manufacturer intended are permissible.
All hats must be worn bills forward, and all shirts must be tucked in, at all times. No bare midriff
showing.
b. IMPROPER ATTIRE
Athletic shorts, short shorts, tee shirts, tank tops, jeans (denim of any color), cut-offs, sweats,
spandex, yoga attire, jeggings, leggings and halter tops.
WALKING SCORERS
Parents or family of all players in the 12-13 year old age divisions and 8-11 year old age divisions should
plan to serve as a walking scorer in either Round 1 or Round 2. The WJGA office will notify you via email
on Friday, April 21st which round you will be responsible for providing a walking scorer.
RULES OF GOLF
The Rules of Golf will govern play. A Notice to Competitors and Local Rules addendum will be available
at the first tee. Please review it thoroughly.
AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION
Automotive transportation is prohibited. Spectator carts are not allowed unless a valid disable parking
placard or doctor’s note is provided.
DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES
Distance measuring devices that conform to the Rules of Golf and measure distance only are permitted
for use by a player competing in a stipulated round greater than nine holes. Please remember that cell
phone use is not allowed on the golf course so cell phone app distance measuring devices will not be
permitted. Note: All divisions other than the 8-11 year old divisions will be allowed to use a distance
measuring device.
TIME OF STARTING
Players must check in at registration in front of the restaurant when they arrive at the course for
round 1 and also plan to be at the 1st tee 10 minutes prior to their assigned starting time.
Players shall be responsible for being ready to play at the time established by the Committee.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
Sun Willows Golf Course is a public golf course and contestants may play a practice round(s) prior to the
tournament. Junior rates of $18 apply to contestants only, but parents/adults may play at standard Sun
Willows rates. Junior please identify yourself as an Eastern Open contestant and call the golf shop at
509-545-3440 to schedule a time.
GOLF SHOP HOURS
Opens at 6:00 a.m. each day.
DRIVING RANGE HOURS
Opens at 6:00 a.m. Warm-up range balls may be purchased in the Sun Willows GC golf shop at the
following rates – Small: $4, Medium: $7, Large: $9
FOOD SERVICE
The Sun Willows Cafe will open at 6:00 a.m. Food service will be available throughout the day after
opening.
AJGA PERFORMANCE STARS AND JUNIOR GOLF SCOREBOARD RANKING
Final results will be submitted to the AJGA and Junior Golf Scoreboard for performance stars awarded
and ranking points allocated.
