1.General characteristics
•Remote control system for top hung windows
with elegant design assures the tightness of the
window.
•All types are non-handed and suitable for
installation on aluminium, PVC or timber windows.
•All parts of the remote control system are
manufactured from non-corroding materials.
•Finish:
-- Handle, link arm and cover sections in
aluminium anodised or polyester powder coated
in a choice of more than 450 RAL colours.
-- The U-shaped cover sections are available in
lengths of 3 or 6 m. Bronze or black anodised
in 3 m lengths only.
-- Rods ø8 mm in aluminium anodised, steel zinc
plated or stainless steel and available in lengths
of 1, 2 or 3 m.
-- Screws in stainless steel.

•There is a set available in combination with a
sill transmission. The set is also available for an

6.3. Safety regulations
•Installation, cabling and connection must be done by qualified technical experts.
•The applicable regulations must be respected during installation.
•Flexible cables should not be plastered.
•Damage to the cables due to squeezing, bending or the movement itself must be avoided.
•Connection boxes must always be accessible for maintenance.
•Do not open unit. No user serviceable parts inside. Warranty void if opened.
•The electric motor must be protected against building dust and moisture.

1. Determine the position on the frame and fix the electric motor: see installation examples.
2. Throw is already set at 55 mm. Initially, the motor is supplied in retracted position (open position window).
3. Remove cover (4 or 5), dependant on the installation: right hand or left hand.
4. Insert and screw the supplied threaded rod M8 (2) with the threaded side into the motor housing.
5. Slide coupling piece (3) over the threaded rod and fix it with the grub screws.
Throw adjustment (when different from 55 mm) and additional adjustment
1. At the front side of the electric motor there are 2 adjustment screws with indication “AUF” and “ZU”:
-- The “AUF” adjustment screw (7) sets the rod limit in the extended position (closing of the link arm).
-- The “ZU” adjustment screw (8) sets the rod limit in the retracted position (opening of the link arm).
-- Turn the screw in the “+” direction to increase the throw. Turn in the “-” direction to decrease the throw.
-- Initially the “ZU” screw can not be turned in the “+” direction.
2. It is very important that the adjustment of the end switches (end positions of the rod) match with the throw of the link arm. If not, it is possible that the motor will be damaged.
3. Adjustment examples:
-- Change the throw before the installation (for example 38 mm when Fh<400 mm):
Turn screw (7) “AUF” in the “-” direction. Let the motor turn in the 2 directions and check the throw.
Repeat this until the required throw is reached.
-- Decrease the opening position on an assembled window:
Turn screw (8) “ZU” in the “-” direction. Close and open the motor and check the opening position.
Repeat this until the required opening position is reached.
-- Additional adjustment of the closing position on an assembled window:
Turn screw (7) “AUF” (“+” close more / “-” close less). Open and close the motor and check the closing
position. Repeat this until the required closing position is reached.
4.Note:
The electric motor can be blocked by the end positions of the link arm if the throw is wrongly adjusted.
In this case, the motor will still be under tension and heat up until the thermal safety cut-out switches off
the motor. As long as the indication light (9) blinks, the motor remains under voltage. The voltage only
drops when the motor has reached its adjusted end positions.

6.5. Electrical connection
Procedure
Cabling of 1.5 mm² with earthing is necessary.
1. The cable connection is possible through the bottom of the motor or through the cover plate (6).
2. Remove cover plate (6).
3. Connect the cables on the clamp board (10) in accordance with the diagram.
4. Fix the cable with the cable clamp (11).

•The end adjustment must take place on a completely assembled window with glazing.
•Check that the window opens and closes properly.
Warnings
Bruising and clamping danger.
Do not grab the window nor the link arm during installation and

Switch off the electrical supply and secure against unintentional
switching on during maintenance.

10.General information
•The remote control system TOP•V 7801 can be used within the Fh/Fb sizes and weight limitations indicated
on the chart below. Technical advise should be sought when the sizes of your window are not shown in
the chart.
•The system is made of non-corroding materials. The set should not be installed in corrosive atmospheres.
•Sobinco can not be held responsible for the malfunctioning of the TOP•V 7801 system if any non-Sobinco
parts are used.
•All parts must be assembled according to the instructions as described in previous pages.
•The surface treatment of vent and frame must take place before assembly of the set, as this will affect
the working of the gear.
•The glass must be glazed in accordance with national standards.
•The window and gear should be kept clean.
