Sign up Campus Climate Assessment 1. Hopefully everyone attended one of the sessions 2. Positive response from student body 3. Changes will start taking places on campus due to the survey 4. Reformation of job descriptions to be more inclusive of diversity Forums are being scheduled to continue the conversation Campus Safety a. It has been eye opening to see what has occurred on campus b. Number of incidents around campus in the last couple weeks c. Des Moines Police officer has been hired to patrol Wednesday-Saturday night d. Added another Drake bus e. Has been setting up meetings to see what else can be done f. Safety is important, but it is also important to see what we can do to improves the lives of the people in our neighborhood 9. Drake Value a. When sexual assault, stalking, etc, is reported to the university, this information is released due to federal law b. It is a collective effort—high correlation between alcohol and sexual misconduct i. It is important for every student to be safe and enjoy college experience, but binge drinking in an unsafe situation is not acceptable ii. c. Be an active bystander Doing everything possible to educate people how to respond to such situations i. There is zero retaliation ii. Consent—no means no and yes can turn into no iii.
