HOPE Team Member of Health, Prosperity, or Education Team
Job Description
Community Impact Team Purpose:
To actively participate in United Way of Windham County’s (UWWC) efforts to identify and
achieve target outcomes to address the community’s most critical issues in the areas of Health,
Opportunity, Prosperity, and Education (HOPE) utilizing the principles of Results Based
Accountability (RBA).
Accountability:
Accountable to the HOPE team, the Community Investment Committee and the UWWC Board
of Directors. Supervised and managed by the Director of Community Investments.
Ideal Tenure:
1-year renewable term from July 1 – June 30 (may begin at other times in the year)
Role/Responsibilities:
 Willingness to learn and apply RBA concepts, and to work in keeping the UWWC’s
mission, philosophy and guiding principles
 With the support of UWWC, develop a shared knowledge and understanding of impact
area/target outcomes in Education, Income, or Health for Windham County
 Participate in Community Impact training, including grant review process
 Attend and/or participate in HOPE team meetings, activities and functions
 Support the strategies and goals of "HOPE for Windham County"
 Participate in the review of community grant applications
 Represent the HOPE team in discussion with community partners
 Work in concert with United Way staff/volunteers and ask for support when needed
 Ability to place community interest above self-interest
 Strong communication skills
 A commitment to support UWWC by giving, volunteering and/or advocating
