SCIENCE YEAR 7 ENVIRONMENT AND FEEDING RELATIONSHIPS BRIEF Your task is to research one endangered animal . You can present your project as a PowerPoint presentation, poster or booklet. However you decide to present your project, you will need to include the following: A picture of the animal. A description of the animal’s natural habitat. A food chain that contains your animal. A list of the different adaptations your animal has. Reasons why your animal is endangered and any conservation efforts that take place. The moral arguments for and against keeping animals in zoos. STEPPING STONES 1. Use books and the internet to research your chosen animal and their habitat. Make notes or print off the relevant information. 2. Decide how you want to present your findings (eg in a poster, booklet or PowerPoint presentation). 3. Organise your guide into different sections. For example information about the animal, their habitat. Check your spellings and punctuation. 4. Ask for help if you need it! Attainment just below what is expected. SUBMITTING WORK Before submitting your work, make sure that: Work has been well planned, researched and prepared. Presentation and structure are appropriate. Language choice is appropriate. Punctuation, grammar and spelling are accurate. You have included the list of references you used. The deadline is Friday 14th February 2014 You will need to complete a cover sheet to put at the front of your project. The cover sheet is available from your teacher.
