Coach Code of Conduct Form 2015 SOUTHLAND REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS In signing this Code of Conduct the Coach shall: 1. Agree to maintain a high standard of conduct on the Volleyball court in any Volleyball event or activity and comply with the etiquette of Volleyball. (Coach’s must exercise self-control; bad language, equipment abuse and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.) 2. Agree to maintain a high standard of conduct off the Volleyball court and avoid any action which may discredit Volleyball Southland and the game of Volleyball whether the Coach is representing Volleyball Southland at the time or not. Coaches must not consume illegal drugs at any time, a zero tolerance approach will be taken if this rule is broken and a Coach’s future inclusion in Southland representative teams will be seriously jeopardised. Coaches found to be consuming alcohol, drugs or smoking will immediately removed from the team and sent home at the Coach’s own expense. 3. Agree to maintain a continuing high standard of appearance. When representing Southland the correct team uniform must be worn at all times on and off the Volleyball Court, with no exceptions unless a mufti dinner out has been arranged. 4. Agree to take care of all clothing and equipment provided by Volleyball Southland and to return these to Volleyball Southland at the conclusion of the event. Loss of or damage to equipment beyond normal wear and tear shall be charged against the Coach. Equipment and apparel must not be exchanged. 5. Agree to be punctual and regularly attend all training sessions, and team or squad meetings. Coaches must be prepared mentally, physically and technically for all events. Agree to be punctual for all tournaments and competitions and for travel to and from those events. 6. Agree to learn how to referee and score tournament games as all Coach’s and players are to do both while competing. 7. Agree to remain in the company of the team from the time of departure to the time of return for all events. Coaches can not go out and meet friends or go out for dinner or drinks without the pre-approval of the performance committee before departure as our player/coach/manager ratios are something we take seriously and this isn’t a social trip we are there for business. 8. When coaches want to talk to the team or an individual it is to be in a common room not a private room example: dorm room. 9. No coach can select players who have a financial debt with volleyball southland, all debt must be cleared before trials, no exceptions 10. No coach can take a player to tournament who has does not have a 90% attendance record. Paid deposits and airline tickets for players who are removed because of non attendance will be at the discretion of the companies deposits policy COACHS DECLARTION I have read this code of Conduct and have received a personal copy.
