The AoD Competition Team takes on Dance Powerhouses
The AoD competition dancers went up against a lot of big competitive powerhouses, (some studios had
108 competitors on their team), at the VIP Dance competition in Atlanta Ga on March 21 and 22nd, and
our small competitive team of many first time competitors did an awesome job!
Our Jr Trio tap earned a high gold, 2nd in division and 3rd overall high score of the weekend. They were
also a judge’s pick for Elegance, with the judge comparing the girls to Vera-Ellen for her elegant arms
and fierce tapping.
Hailey Tayag earned a high gold, 3rd in division and 7th overall high score for her ballet solo.
Emma Copenhaver earned a high gold for her sassy routine for Don’t Rain on my Parade.
The Sr Hip hop trio earned a high gold and 1st in their division.
The Sr Tap trio earned a Platinum, 1st in division and 5th overall high score.
Our Teen small group earned a High gold and 2nd in division.
Our Large group musical theater production earned a high gold and 1st in their division.
Kaliahna Kogut earned a high gold and 3rd in her division for her contemporary pointe solo.
And the last competitor of the night, #354, Chipper Dent earned a Platinum, 1st in division and 7th overall
high score for senior solos for her fierce tap routine to No Diggity.
We are so proud of our dancers and their hard work this competition season, and we can’t wait to see
you wow the judges at Nationals this summer!
