Guidance Notes for Travel Bulletin Demos
Please record a demo no longer than 47 seconds of you reading a traffic and travel bulletin.
You should use the incidents from the next few pages to construct your bulletin which should be
submitted to us via SoundCloud, Dropbox or Audioboo.
The incident data below has been taken from the INRIX Radio information browser which is the system
used by INRIX broadcasters and travel reporters at many radio stations.
Please select items appropriate for a national report without too much biased for one particular region.
It is important you do not script your bulletin word for word so we can gauge whether we could train you
to deliver a travel bulletin the way we do; ad libbing and ‘talking around’ the information.
It may be helpful to listen to travel bulletins on the local station in your area, so you can hear the style
and techniques used by our broadcasters.
