Year 7 information sheet for the week beginning 13th April
Tuesday games. Blue and Brown. We are doing football for one week only at the
field. Bring normal games kit. Coach at the usual time.
Thursday games. Red and Green. You will be doing Athletics at Sutton Arena.
Please come to school in a tracksuit, and bring your uniform with you. Coach will
leave at 8.40am and we will change back at school from 10.30am. Wear your PE
kit (house tops), and you MUST have trainers, not football boots!!!
House Badminton and Table Tennis on Thursday lunchtime.
This event starts at 1.05pm so all players must bring a packed lunch and
probably eat it at break time!! The event will go on until 2.00pm so form staff be
aware that registration is affected. Classes could come and watch from 1.40?
Wear your House tops please. Teams of 4 pairs for Badminton, and 10 individual
players for table tennis.
Cricket nets on Tuesday after school in the Sports Hall. You MUST have a
protective box to attend this session and you are welcome to bring in your own
bat, pads, helmet, gloves etc for nets. We have equipment available. Bring whites
or tracksuit bottoms. You can wear your own kit or house tops. The session
starts at 3.45pm and will go on until 4.45pm. A provisional team will be picked
from this session to play in a match on Saturday morning.
Tennis trials on Friday after early release. This takes place at our home
venue, Sutton Tennis and Squash Club. You must have your own racket and bring
at least 3 tennis balls with you. Any suitable kit is OK. Session finishes at 4.15pm
and you may be collected from the centre, make your own way home, or get
transport back to school. Sports Reps please give a list of those boys attending to
Mr Bangs. A regular tennis club will start the following Friday for boys who
enjoy this sport.
House Basketball will take place in the following week at lunchtimes. Each class
will be given a fixture list. Matches are on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. You will
need an A team and B team with 6 boys in each team.
Athletics Club starts next Monday after School at Sutton Arena. Transport
leaves after school and returns at 5.00pm. You can leave from the Arena at
4.45pm.
