Welcome to INTO City University London
The Teaching team wish you a very warm welcome !
• You will meet a lot of people over the next week and the weeks that follow.
• Our Teaching Team is made up of many Teachers – subject and English,
Co-ordinators and Programme Managers, a Director of Studies and an
Academic Director (me).
• We also have an Academic Support Team, a University Placement Team,
and a Learning Resource Centre / Library team.
• It will take time to get to know all the people you meet. If you don’t know
who you need to speak to, just ask !
• You will also have many things to read and remember over the next week.
• Please do read it all and keep it, so you can look at it again. It’s all important
and much of it is important for your whole time here !

We hope you have a really great time with us, and in London !
But … remember you are here to study.
You will have a lot to do in your studies, so plan your work.
So much will be very new to you; so much about the ways of studying, the
ways of presenting your work will be new.
Study hard to improve your English, and speak English all the time – that
will help with all of your studies.
Remember that to help you, only English is spoken here in the Centre !
Come to all of your classes, on time – we have a strict attendance policy
and take registers for all classes.
Why am I saying all this ?
Because we want you to have a great time here, and that means an
incredibly successful time, and getting the grades that you need !
