in competition. Here you’ll meet people from breed
societies and find the purrfect present for your pet. Head
to the Purina Pro Plan Dog Pavilion and Dog Judging
Lawn to watch man’s best friend go paw to paw in the
Sydney Royal Dog Competitions and be there as the
champions of the canine world are decided.

Whether you’ve brought a picnic from home or you’re
sampling a Show-snack to go, make Spotless Stadium
(P15) your dining destination. There are plenty of seats
undercover and no shortage of on-ground action. All
day you can watch magnificent horses competing
in Sydney Royal competitions. At midday you’ll be
entertained with live music, Working Dogs, and V8s
will roar in the Battle of the Golden Helmet as Country
goes head to head against City. Every night at 6.30pm
entertainment kicks off with the high energy Sydney
Royal Rodeo Series (except 12 and 13 April), powerful
vocals of Ben Ransom, followed by The Man From
Snowy River stadium production. Then, feel the rumble
as V8 utes and motoX daredevils engage in the Battle
of the Golden Helmet. Finally you’ll be dazzled with a
spectacular fireworks finale with a title that says it all,
‘Cracker of a Cracker Show’.
For a grown-up Show experience, visit The Stables
(U13). Here you’ll find the Sydney Royal Beer and Wine
Experience with its whisky, gin and rum bar along with
beer, cider and wine tastings. Here you’ll also find
pop-up eateries, a deli and fine food stalls. Gents can
spruce up for the occasion at the heritage style barber
shop offering haircuts and straight razor shaves.

The Daily Telegraph Paddock has an exciting new
activity for 2 – 10 year olds. Little Hands on the Land
is a kid-sized working farm aimed to teach kids about
agriculture from crop-to-shop. There’s fun for the whole
family at The Outback Stockman Arena, where you
can see Sheep Shearing (6 – 12 April only), Bonnie
Yard Dogs demonstrations and the Outback Stockman
himself. Hungry? There’s fare for the famished at Graze
Alfresco Dining.

The Animal Walk starts at the corner of Showground
Road and Channel 9 Grand Parade. Follow the horse
hooves through Pavilions to see magnificent Sydney
Royal award-winners and meet farmyard friends in
special meet and greet sessions like Chook Washing
and Pat a Chick in the Steggles Poultry Pavilion, and
Sheep Shearing (13 – 19 April) in the Sheep & Wool
Pavilion. At the Dairy Farmers Milking Barn you can
learn how to milk a cow and discover the secrets to
cattle farming at the Cattle Experience. Pat a Pig
in the Pig and Goat Pavilion and in the Farmyard
Nursery feed and groom the cutest animals at the
Show. Why not take an exotic alpaca for a walk at the
Alpaca Promenade (13 – 19 April) in the Munro Pavilion
and finish your journey at the Snowy River Horse
Experience.
