The ComProof line is engineered for proof testing and rewinding of optical fibers. Fiber strength is tested by applying tensile stress to the fiber between two capstans. Optional ribbon test configuration is also available. Modern, brushless AC-technology is used in all drives for minimal maintenance needs, and compact design reduces floor occupancy and installation time by built-in electronics and control system. Machine is based on well-proven ComTu dual take-up technology. One spooling unit is used for paying off the material, while another unit is used for winding the tested material. Same reels can be used in dual take-up of fiber drawing towers. Convenient working spot light is located on the top of the machine as standard Modern fiber testing standards are used while designing the ComProof.
