Creative Curriculum topic: Art Attack Christian Value: Creativity OLD SODBURY CE PRIMARY SCHOOL NEWSLETTER January 2015 Dear Parents and Carers, Many children travelled to Birmingham on Friday to sing in the young voices choir in the NEC indoor arena. They behaved impeccably on what was a very long day, We arrived back at school at midnight! It was a truly wonderful experience for the children and I am sure a memory they will never forget. Chloe had done a fantastic job of teaching the children all the songs and organising the day and my huge gratitude and heartfelt thanks go to her for the truly wonderful contribution she continues to make to our school in music. No pressure Chloe but you did promise the children you would sing in the teachers’ choir next year!! I would also like to say a huge thanks to everyone who helped on the working day this Saturday to remove the boat in preparation for the new play equipment. Creative Curriculum topic: Art Attack Christian Value: Creativity Lateness picking children up from school Please could you make sure that you pick your children up from school on time, whether it be at the end of the school day or after a school club. After school clubs especially are run on the good will of both staff and parent volunteers so please make sure that you know what time they end. If you are repeatedly late from picking your children up from an afterschool club the school may make the decision to disallow your child to attend. Your help and support with this would be very much appreciated. Good News! For those of you who have not yet seen the letter on the website, we have received a letter from the Rt Hon David Laws, minister of state for schools, congratulating us on our results.
