Only the land on the banks of the Nile could be cultivated to support life. The rest of Egypt was, and is, desert. Every year rain further south in Africa and melting snow in the highlands of Ethiopia caused the Nile in Egypt to flood. When the floods went down, the rich soil which the water had brought down from the mountainsides was left on the fields and caused them to be extremely fertile. The Free Officers who toppled King Farouk in the Revolution of 1952 assigned specific symbolism to each of the three bands of the Arab Liberation flag. The red band symbolises the period before the Revolution, a time characterized by the struggle against the monarchy, and the British occupation of the country. The black band symbolizes the end of the oppression of the Egyptian people at the hands of the monarchy, and foreign imperialism.[1] Gods These figures are trying together lotus and papyrus the plants of upper and lower Egypt , around the hieroglyph meaning “unite”. A mummy is a deceased human or an animal whose skin and organs have been preserved by either intentional or accidental exposure to chemicals, extreme cold, very low humidity, or lack of air, so that the recovered body does not decay further if kept in cool and dry conditions. Some authorities restrict the use of the term to bodies deliberately embalmed with chemicals, but the use of the word to cover accidentally desiccated bodies goes back to at least 1615 AD (See the sectionEtymology and meaning). Mummies of humans and other animals have been found on every continent,[1] both as a result of natural preservation through unusual conditions, and as cultural artifacts. Over one million animal mummies have been found in Egypt, many of which are cats. We really hope you that you enjoyed our power point project
