Your book must include colored pictures and a short story that explains photosynthesis at a sixth grade level. Spelling, neatness, and accuracy count! 40 points ~Public Service Announcement: Film a public service announcement with a partner that explains the importance of photosynthesis. What happens in photosynthesis that benefits animals? Explain what the stages of photosynthesis are in your commercial. You may create and use props. Scripts must be written and approved before filming. 40 points ~Photosynthesis Blog: Write a two-paragraph blog about what you have learned about photosynthesis. You must explain what happens during photosynthesis as well define important vocabulary. Your paragraphs should be well organized and edited for spelling and grammar. 40 points Side Dishes: Choose 2 of the following activities to complete. ~Photosynthesis Crossword Puzzle: Create a crossword puzzle of key terms from the photosynthesis unit. You must include ten terms. The clues should be written in complete sentences and edited for spelling and grammar. Include an answer key. 25 points ~A Day in the Life Journal: You are a plant. Write a short journal entry about how you got your energy for the day. This should be one, no more than two, paragraphs long. Remember, you are the plant, and you are writing in your diary, but spelling and grammar still count! 25 points ~Plant Interview: Film a short interview between you and a plant. You are the interviewer asking the plant about how photosynthesis works, what are the ingredients, and why is photosynthesis important for plants and animals? (The plant’s voice can be a friends voice or a special accent you have ) A script must be approved before filming. 25 points ~Photosynthesis Quiz: Create a ten-question quiz about photosynthesis. Use multiple types of questions: multiple choice, true or false, fill in the blank, or short answer. You must include one short answer question. Include a blank copy of your test and an answer key. Spelling and grammar count. 25 points Dessert: Optional…aka extra credit! ~ Picture Time! Draw and label a diagram that represents the stages of photosynthesis. Use arrows and captions to help you. Your picture needs to be neat, colored, and organized. It is important that the reader of the diagram can understand what the picture is trying to teach.
