Mathematics: Find 10 more and 10 less than a number. Partition numbers into tens and ones. Compare and order numbers. Count in 2s, 5s and 10s. Read and write numbers to 100. Say number bonds to 10 and 20. Use addition and subtraction facts. Add and subtract one and two digit numbers and solve problems. Recognise, name and describe 3D shapes. Compare, describe, measure and solve problems involving weight. Recognise and order days and months of the year. Tell the time to the hour and half past. Measure, record and solve time problems. Music: PE: Listen and appraise a range of music. Compose Multi-skills and own song. Use musical Athletics. vocabulary. Phonics: Phase 5 alternative pronunciations. Phase 6 adding suffixes. Revision of Phase 3 and 5 sounds and 100 High Frequency Words. Science: ‘Plants’ Identify and name a variety of common wild and garden plants, including deciduous and evergreen trees. Identify and describe the basic structure of common flowering plants and trees. Computing: Exploring real and imaginary situations through models and simulations. Developing presentation skills. ‘Oh I do like to be beside the seaside …’ Term 5 Geography: Identifying seasonal and daily weather patterns in the UK. Identifying physical and human features in their local area. Identify ways to improve their community. History: Identify changes in living memory. Explore the way of life of people (Grace Darling) in the past who have lived in the local area. Ask and answer questions about the past. RE: The Church To understand that a church is a family, not a building. To know that Christians pray for each other’s concerns and praise God by singing. To know what happens at Sunday School. To begin to understand the importance of communion for Christians. Art: Use a range of materials and processes. Explore a range of starting points. Please note that some activities may change as children develop their own interests in the subjects. PSHE: Identify and explore ways of taking care of themselves and keeping healthy. Manage feelings in a positive way. Develop empathy and a caring attitude for others.
