We will take part in a sensory story called ‘The Bookseller’.
We will have a focus on visits and events looking at different
places we can visit locally.
We will also have a focus on the following: Communication with our PECS books.
 Greeting our friends every day.
 Mark making/writing using various materials.
 Individual reading sessions.
We will look at recognising and using real coins and have a pretend
shop in the classroom.
We will also visit the shops in Bramhall to use coins to buy
ingredients for our cooking sessions on Thursday afternoons.
In History we will discuss what we have been up to in the past (at
the weekend). We will also use a calendar during circle time to look
at what we did yesterday, what we will do today and what we will
be doing tomorrow.
In R.E. we will look at religious leaders including the Dalai Lama –
we will have some meditation and relaxation sessions in the white
room and classroom.
In Geography we will be looking at the local area and visiting lots
of different places including shops and parks.
We will be looking at lots of different people in the community and
people who help us. Each week we will watch a video about
somebody who helps us (doctors, dentists, policeman, fireman etc).
We will then have fun with pretend play at the doctors surgery,
post office, dentist etc.
In Art we will be very busy making lots of cards for Mothers Day
and Easter. We will also enjoy an Easter Egg hunt with Class 4.
Our music topic is all about starting and stopping. We will use the
Hall for these sessions on a Tuesday morning and listen to
different songs that tell us when to stop and when to start. We
will also explore playing different instruments including piano,
guitar, drums and try to stop playing them when an adult shouts
‘STOP!’
