What is the Centre Intégré de Santé et



Exists since April 1st 2015 following the
application of Bill 10.
Merger of the CSSS de Laval, Centre
jeunesse de Laval, CRDITED de Laval,
l’Hôpital juif de réadaptation and the
Direction de la santé publique de Laval.

Nutritionists are ‘Case managers’
First meetings take place at home
Perinatal groups are held in community
organizations (CCVM et Entraide Pont-Viau), Cofaciliatated by a nutritionist and a nurse.
OLO coupons and vitamins are handed out

Expansion of the ‘OLO’ approach

Projet 1000 jours pour savourer la vie
(1000 days to savour life project)

Aims to promote the adoption of healthy food
habits in the first 1000 days of life of the child who
is living in a situation of vulnerability (270 + 365 +
365).
Production of tools such as recipe book with
imgages, meal and purchase planners, livres pour
books for babies, etc.


Integrated perinatal and services for young children

Target for pregnant women,12 weeks or more or who
has a child under 1 year in their family
– Who lives under the low-income cut-off AND has
not completed secondary V (High school) (or has
not completed 11 years of study in their country)
OR
– Has immigrated to Quebec in the last year AND
living under the low-income cut-off

The Psychosocial professional is case-manager in file
Span of service is approximately 15 meetings

2 to 3 meetings for evaluation
12 meetings for follow-up using the guidance of an intervention
plan that was developed conjointly with the family






*Note: As of September 29th 2014, all children
who are referred to the development clinic by
a partner (ex: doctor, day care, etc.) must
withouth exception have completed the JED
program in order to:

developmental clinic
Support the parents in their day to day lives
Offer avenues for stimulation and strategies to
help in the development of the child while waiting
for their evaluation

Issues often experienced by our

Sever financial difficulties
Difficulties adapting to their role as parents
Lack of knowledge regarding the needs, the
development or the security of their child/children

Eligibility:

A family cannot be referred by an outside
organization.
Must have followed a regular service but has not
answered the needs of the family.
Interventions should have spanned 2 years with a
high level of intensity.
