TEST SECURITY FOR ISTEP+, IMAST, and LAS LINKS BLOOMFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDELINES 2210 Page 1 of 2 Staff members at Bloomfield School District will follow procedures and ethical practices mandated by DOE ensuring the highest level of testing security. School personnel involved in the testing will be provided with testing manuals and training from the District’s Test Coordinator. Staff members will sign and date the “DOE Affirmation Statement” which will be kept on file with school administration. The following testing procedures will be followed at Bloomfield School District: All testing materials will be stored in a secure location upon receipt from the Indiana Department of Education. Building principals or designee will inventory testing materials without breaking security seals. o The inventory numbers and the packing list numbers will be verified. If a discrepancy in inventory occurs, a report will be made to building principals or designee for clarification. Building principals or designee will verify sufficient number of testing materials have been received to implement the tests at each grade level. The District’s inventory list will be kept on file by building principal or designee. Test labels will be placed on booklets in a secured location by building principals or designee. Tests will remain in a secure location after the inventory and labeling process until the test window begins. When the testing window begins, test booklets will be assigned to teachers by building principals or designee. Teachers will sign a statement verifying students’ names and an accurate number of tests received. The teacher signature statement sheet will be kept on file by building administrator or designee. The building principals or designee will be responsible for daily assigning of the classroom test booklets. A sign in and sign out sheet with date and time will be kept on file with building principals or designee. At the end of each daily testing session, test booklets will be placed in a secured location assigned by building principal or designee. The principals or designee will inventory test booklets each day. Teachers will report test abnormalities to building principals or designee. At conclusion of the testing process teachers will turn in test booklets to building principal or designee, verifying all used and unused test booklets have been returned. The building principal or designee will inventory and package all testing materials at the conclusion of the testing window. The Corporation Test Coordinator will package and ship all used and unused testing materials to the appropriate shipping location as identified by the Indiana Department of Education. The schedule will include dates, times, and locations of testing. Teachers will follow the established testing schedule. The principals or designee will monitor the testing schedule to make sure no abnormalities occur in the tests’ sequence or schedule. o If abnormalities occur, this will be reported and documented to the Corporation Test Coordinator. The classroom teacher will track students’ attendance and individual student test abnormalities. All information will be reported to the Corporation Test Coordinator. The Corporation Test Coordinator will report all testing abnormalities to the Indiana Department of Education.
