This is a great game to play as a whole family. Each
family member has a bus and takes turns to roll the dice (a
make your own dice is also included in this homework
pack). You must then count the dots on the dice and add
that many animals to your bus. On the second time
around ask your child to add together the two numbers,
for example if the rolled 3 the first time and four the
second time. How many animals do they have now? Please
emphasise the language of 3 add 4 equals 7. The winner is
the first person to get ten animals on the bus. This game
will not only help your child’s maths skills but help with
social skills such as turn taking and patience and allow you
all to spend some time having fun together.
