Remember me
When companies design
their documents they
choose what and where
things go. For example:
what logo to choose
and where to place it
the company address
and contact details
what font (type of
writing) to use
what size and colour
font.

Imagine you have started working for a company.
How will you remember where the parts of a
letter go?
How do all the other employees know?
They use a:
template

When you were young a template helped you draw the
duck or dog.
In maths, a template helps you draw the correct
shapes.
A template enabled you to draw the shapes time and
time again.

When using
documents, you can
create a template to
help you to complete
the document
correctly, time after
time.

Summary
There are many types of documents in everyday use.
Particular documents come in a particular format (shape,
size, content).
Templates are use to ensure consistency (everything
remains the same).
What can I
remember?
