Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk is located
in Sopot and has functioned since 1970 having its roots in
the forties of 20th century. Nowadays, as academic entity it
HAS FULL ACADEMIC RIGHTS and offers first, second and
third cycle of education to students.

Research and education staff of Faculty of Economics

MBA studies are directed to highranking managers who want to acquire knowledge and
experience of specialists and practitioners in Poland and
abroad, in the field of strategic management, business,
marketing and finance. The lecturers are highly
distingusihed practictioners from Poland and abroad.
DOCTORIAL STUDIES
Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk is
entitled to confer doctoral and postdoctoral degrees in
the field of economics. Thus, the Faculty is qualified to
offer doctorial programmes in Polish and in English. We
provide access to databases, specialized libraries,
wide collections of economic statistics and business
law texts.
COURSES FOR PROFESSIONALS
We offer specialized courses to employees of companies
in our region, which are consulted with entrepreneurs.
The courses include management of companies,
marketing, human resource policy, transport and
logistics.

ERASMUS PROGRAMME
Students participate in the so-called Active Student Group,
which takes care of the Faculty’s image offering, for example,
the profile on Facebook. The student community takes active
part in 13 research circles organizing conferences, seminars
and trainings with the cooperation of entrepreneurs from all
over Poland. The research circles have interdisciplinary
character combining various fields on knowledge, not only in
economics.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OF FACULTY
OF ECONOMICS IS CARRIED OUT IN THREE
DIMENSIONS:
Faculty of Economics has a wide offer of studies abroad
as a part of ERASMUS Programme and in partner
universities outside the European Union. The Faculty’s
offer includes over 180 possibilities of studies abroad
at 19 European universities.
The Faculty is also open for students from other
countries and its offer is directed to ERASMUS students
or to all who wish to study the prestigious specialty in
English – INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS.
DOUBLE DIPLOMA
Within ERASMUS Programme the agreement between
Faculty of Economics and University of Applied
Sciences Upper Austria Campus in Steyr was
concluded. After the completion of the first year of firstcycle studies students may continue education in
Austria and, as a part of the exchange programme, they
can obtain two diplomas- the first one at University of
Applied Sciences Upper Austria Campus in Steyr and
the second at the Faculty of Economics UG.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
The studies are offered to these who wish to get
education in English language. International Business
(IB) is a specialty in the field of International Economic
Relations with students from all over the world.

Apart from ERASMUS Programme Faculty of
Economics cooperates with partner universities outside
