` Bright Futures April Newsletter April Newsletter Issue 4 Hi All! Throughout April we will be looking at Easter and enjoying lots of Easter treats. Upcoming Events 21st April: Easter St George’s Day 26th April 28th April: Garden Party In April from the week beginning 11.04.11 we will be undergoing renovation works to the roof and windows of the building. We appreciate your co-operation and understanding while these essential works take place. We ask that that you are please flexible at this time as we may need to use our fire exit to the entrance and exit of the building. Sarah Hume has now settled back into the nursery life working in the daisy room. We are looking forward to Kirsty returning to work on the 18th April who will be then working in the Daffodil room. Easter On Thursday 21st April we will be celebrating Easter. We have lots of activities planned such as Easter egg hunts and Easter bonnet parades. We will also be having an Easter bonnet competition so we are giving you lots of time to get your creative hands going!!! We will also be celebrating Easter with our own Easter party!!! Special Dates 22nd April: Bank Hol (nursery closed) 25th April: Bank Hol (nursery closed) 29th April: Bank Hol (nursery closed) 2nd May: Bank Hol (nursery closed) You are still required to pay for all bank holidays. 28th April: Garden Party to celebrate the royal wedding Bright Futures Childcare Limited The Gateway Green Lane Bolton BL3 2PH 01204 386530 We have now said goodbye to Alex from the daffodil room who has now moved over to work in our other nursery at Cleggs Lane. We wish her the very best of luck!!! On Red Nose Day we had lots of crazy hair styles and wacky dress codes. Thank you for all your hard work and donations we managed to raise £37.20.Well done!!! Mobile Phones As you are all aware posters have now gone up around the nursery reminding all staff, parents and visitors that mobile phones are NOT permitted in the nursery and this is to protect all the children within the setting. If you arrive at the nursery using your mobile phone, please ensure you wait outside until you have finished and if your phone rings whilst you are inside the nursery, please do not answer it. We now have a new policy that all visitors coming into the nursery i.e. premier sports, outside professionals etc will have to lock their mobile phones away in a cupboard in the office along with staff’s mobile phones. Thank you Sarah St George’s Day This month we will be celebrating St George’s Day. We will be doing lots of fun activities throughout the day and Janice will be making us a special menu. Children can wear red and white to nursery. Page 2 of 2 Bright Futures March Newsletter Poppy Room Daffodil Room In Poppy room they will be dressing up as Easter chicks and making special Easter eggs. They will be making beautiful butterfly pictures using their handprints!!! In Daffodil room they will be looking at baby chicks and Easter eggs. They will be having an Easter egg decorating competition and planning an Easter egg hunt for their friends in the bluebell room. Daisy Room The daisies are going be having lots of Easter fun being happy little bunnies enjoying playing outside in the garden. They will be baking Easter biscuits to send home and getting messy making Easter bonnets and baskets. Tulip Room The tulips will be having lots of spring fun and bringing the outdoors in with our mud pit and garden role play. We are going to have lots of fun hunting for treats on our Easter egg hunt and doing lots of messy activities. Bluebell Room The Bluebells will be learning about the origin of Easter and making yummy chocolate nests and doing lots of fun Easter activities. More information can be found in each individual room
