How it works
1. Monitor - We monitor your building energy performance by collecting data from
a number of potential sources:
- Real-time, minute-to-minute data from electricity circuits. This data is collected by
placing lightweight monitoring devices on your electrical panel that tell us when your
building equipment runs and how much energy it uses.
- Interval data from utility meters. This data is collected directly from the utility or by
installing a device at the meter.
- Trend log data from building energy management systems showing temperatures
and equipment operation.
2. Analyze - We thoroughly analyze the data. From it, we identify which parts of your
building, which building systems, and which pieces of equipment are not running
efficiently.
3. Recommend - We give you a blueprint for better building performance.
This document includes targeted recommendations for making easy
operational changes, like schedule and control-setting updates, to bring
your energy use down.
4. Verify - We check the data again after changes have been made to verify
and measure their impact. Real-time data lets us see that impact
immediately. Circuit-level detail lets us measure that impact precisely.
5. Maintain - We stay with you. We monitor and analyze your data on an
ongoing basis to make sure your savings stick. We check in with you when
we spot new issues. And we help you resolve those issues quickly so you
