A. Heart of Gold
1. Focus on pediatric cancer
2. Questions
a) Colton Jacob – Are y’all getting your degrees in medical
studies? No one specifically
b) Sophie Rivera – What kind of funding would you need from
SGA? There is going to be a lot of fundraising but won’t need to
heavily rely on SGA
c) Collin Cavendish – Have you thought about partnering with
Make a Wish? There’s a lot of legal issues so possibly not
d) Tyler Baker – What is the classification of those in leadership?
Juniors and sophomores
e) Collin Cavendish – What would the toy drive look like on
campus? All of the toys would need to be new. There would be
boxes around campus and those toys would be donated to
McLane Children’s hospital.
f) Colton Jacob – How many events and fundraisers a semester?
Probably once a semester, maybe two.
g) Pros and Cons:
(1) Colton Jacob: Pro – If you are sick, it is nice to have
someone who is caring for you, outside of the hospital
staff. Support means the world to people with illness.
(2) Danny Kown: Pro – There’s not many organizations
that advocate for awareness of cancer.

a) Sophie Rivera – What are yalls classifications? One co-president
is graduating in December, one next May, others this May. Plans
to bring in another co-president sooner rather than later
b) Colton Jacob – What kind of funding would y’all need from
SGA? Doesn’t plan to spend a lot of money in the organization.
c) Collin Cavendish – Is this organization for only nursing students
at a certain level or all nursing students? Plans to include any
nursing students interested.
d) Ashley Ward – Would members need to pay dues, and what
does membership look like? The only requirements would be for
officers to be part of the national member, other than that there
are no specific requirements.
e) Pros and cons:

supporting students
