It is important to get good financial advice

strategies so that you arrive at the right
decisions. You may believe that you know
what your money is doing and the options that
are available to you, however, with constant
changes in legislation it is also possible that
you may not be aware of all your options or
be making the most of them.
This is where we can help.
Our aim is to create a financial strategy with you and
to provide excellent advice and an exceptional service.
During initial discussions, we will help you identify
your objectives, a process which will include an
analysis of your attitude to risk and capacity for loss.
We will then work with you to produce an appropriate
strategy to achieve these goals. This strategy will be
given to you in straightforward terms. We want you to
be confident the financial decisions you make are well
planned and sensible.
Our advisers are some of the most experienced in the
industry and are committed to achieving our clients’
objectives. We actively consider your individual needs
and expect to develop strong, long-term relationships
with all our clients.
Financial products, investments and the laws which
govern them are frequently subject to change, and
over time your own circumstances will change as well.
Therefore, we do not just give you the advice and leave
you to get on with it – we are always available to offer

At NW Brown & Company Ltd we believe a successful working

there is a six-stage process:

NW Brown & Company Ltd is an independent firm which
ensures that we can recommend solutions based on
investments and products from the whole of the retail
financial products market. You will be provided with full
cost transparency and our advisers will ensure that you fully
understand the advice and that it meets with your individual
needs.
We also within the same firm provide discretionary
investment management. We will not advise you if you
decide to use this service but we will introduce you to our
experienced and capable colleagues in this area.
An ongoing review service ensures that any changes to
your circumstances or needs can be met. The frequency of
the review process can be discussed and agreed with our
consultant.

The review process normally takes place on an annual basis
and can include the updating of your personal circumstances
and the monitoring of the performance of your investments.
Although reviews typically take place on an annual basis, the
frequency and content is entirely yours to decide and we will
meet your individual requirement wherever this is possible.

CLIENT SERVICE PROPOSITION
The NW Brown & Company Ltd Risk Graded
Model Portfolios
We have developed a range of model portfolios in conjunction
with our own discretionary managers, which are designed
and managed with your aims and risk preferences in mind. If
you decide this is an appropriate home for your assets you
will appoint us as your manager or we will offer to conduct a
survey (for a fee) of which discretionary manager might suit
you best.
As your manager having identified your attitude to risk and
objectives we would invest your money in a portfolio designed
to meet your needs. The portfolios are actively rebalanced
on a quarterly basis in line with risk and asset allocation, and
supervised by the NW Brown Investment Committee. We will
report to you on a quarterly basis showing the changes made.
Bespoke Portfolios
Our risk graded model will not suit everyone. Therefore,
having identified your attitude to risk, your consultant will
work with you to agree a strategy and identify individual
holdings that meet your needs.
Discretionary Portfolio Management
For larger portfolios we will explore with you whether a
discretionary managed portfolio investing directly in equities,
bonds and other securities might be appropriate. If you wish
to pursue this option we will either introduce you to our
discretionary investment management colleagues or offer to
conduct a survey (for a fee) of which discretionary manager
might suit you best.
Remuneration Policy
We aim to provide you with a flexible approach when
agreeing remuneration.
Before you appoint us we will agree and confirm in
writing the charges.
We charge a fee for the development of your Financial
Planning Strategy and the establishment of your
personal plan. Going forwards, we charge for annual
or periodic reviews to ensure ongoing maintenance of
your plan.
For the development of the initial strategy including
the initial meeting, analysis and the creation of the
financial planning report, we will charge a fee in line
with the amount of time required by the consultant
and technical and administrative support. In general,
this will range between 1% and 3% of the investment
assets. The fee for the ongoing review process will
range from 0.3% - 1% of the investment assets.
Specialist areas of advice will be charged accordingly.
