Uncovering Hidden Cognitive Demands on Global Learners

UNCODE: Uncovering Hidden Cognitive
Demands on Global Learners
Stanford University, Aalto University, Finnish Institute of Occupational
Health
How does globally distributed work affect individuals' cognitive
performance, productivity and well-being? This multidisciplinary
research project investigates the cognitive demands posed by
multicultural distributed collaboration, and the effects of these
demands on individuals' memory, learning and well-being (e.g. sleep
and physiological recovery). The new methods discovered UNCODE
research help global team members to reflect on their own wellbeing and performance, and help them to create more sustainable
strategies for work, study, and recovery.
The event gives you an opportunity to test the technical instruments
the team has developed for monitoring individuals' well-being in
multicultural, multimedia environments.
