Clinic clients receive the medical attention, medication and practical information they need to maintain their health in a friendly and caring atmosphere. The Clinic also serves as a valuable resource in helping to locate follow-up services. The Clinic continues to provide services with a dedicated staff and hard-working volunteers who donated more than 14,000 hours of service in 2014. Balancing New Technology Thousands in our community who would otherwise go without vital health care were afforded the dignity of getting their families’ basic health care needs met through 4,003 patient visits at the Clinic in 2014. This was made possible because of the commitment of our staff and volunteers and services provided by ProHealth Care, Aurora Health Care and other local providers and donations. As the Clinic begins its 15th year of operation, some may question its role, given the implementation of the ACA and the Insurance Marketplace. However, a significant number of individuals remain uninsured post-ACA — an estimated 8,000+ persons in Waukesha County alone — due to a number of access and affordability issues. The Clinic continues to provide vital support and assistance to those who remain uninsured, even offering help in locating insurance through the ACA Marketplace if they are eligible. The Clinic is and will remain a key resource for those in need in our community and we rely on our loyal and compassionate staff, volunteers and generous donors to help us meet our mission. Many thanks to all of those in the community who provide the means for us to carry on our critical work!
