Today we had another enjoyable time at the Pantomime. The holidays are almost upon us as we draw to the end of a very busy and very enjoyable term. We still have a few events left before we finish for Christmas. Warm Clothing During this cold snap, please could we ask that all children come to school with suitable coats, hats, gloves, substantial shoes/wellies for playtimes. Dinner Money Please could all outstanding dinner monies be paid by Monday 15th December. Next half term’s dinner money will be £66. St. Wilfrid’s Church Toy Service th Sunday 7 December 10.30am On the eve of the feast of St Nicholas (a.k.a. Santa Claus) we invite you to bring a new toy for a child, or a gift for an adult, to be given to those in need this Christmas. We shall be giving the gifts to Blackburn Salvation Army for their Christmas Present Appeal Gifts are distributed to disadvantaged families and single people, referred by Social Services. All toys must be new and in their original packaging, and please leave all gifts unwrapped For more information please see the back of this newsletter. If you are unable to make the service and still wish to make a donation then you can send it into school on the Wednesday for the school service. ‘Baubles – A Tree-mendous Nativity’ at St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Wednesday 10th December at 2pm Thursday 11th December at 6:30pm This year the Infants will be performing their Nativity – ‘Baubles’. There are two performances: Wednesday 11th December at 2pm Thursday 12th December at 6:30pm SOLD OUT For the evening performance please can we ask that all children who are taking part in the Nativity be at the Church for 6:00pm. School Council Save the Children – Christmas Jumper Day Friday 12th December For our first School council event, our school is supporting ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ on the 12th December. It can be any Christmas themed jumper or decorate your own. We ask for a donation of £1, all money will go to Save the Children. Danielle and Rohan School Councillors Christmas Lunch and Parties Thursday 18th December The children will be allowed to wear their own clothes for this special 5th December 2014 day but please make sure they have a coat and appropriate footwear for the playground. After the service we will return to school and children can be dismissed early.
