Weigh-In:
Home Weigh-in on Thursday, Dec. 19 for 1st day of tournament. Shoulder-to-shoulder weigh-out
Friday night.
Awards:
Trophies will be awarded to winning school and runner up, plaques to the weight class champions
and medals to the top finishers (2-6) in each weight class. Two MVP plaques will be awarded to the
most outstanding wrestler in the lower (103lb – 140lb) and upper weights (145 – HWT).
Tournament Format:
Individual Tournament. Each site will run 32-man double elimination bracket. Championship will
wrestle through the round of 8 (quarter-finals) at each site. Consolation will wrestle through the
round of 8 (quarter-finals) at each site. 8 wrestlers from each site will advance to the second day (4
in championship, 4 in consolation).
 Wrestling will begin at the 140lb weight class
 Points awarded for a BYE at both sites will be included in the scoring at both sites.
 If a wrestler does not make weight Friday night, ALL points earned by that wrestler will
be forfeited.
Second day 1st round will match semi-finalist from same site in both championship and consolation
against each other. Site cross-overs will begin after the 1st round in both championship and
consolation. Second day bracket will be a 16-man double elimination bracket with the first round
staged to place 8 in championship and 8 in consolation based on 1 st day results.
Seeding Criteria:
Up to eight (8) wrestlers seeded per weight class. Order of criteria:
1. Head-to-head competition this season
2. Champion of Oakland Co. Tourn. last year in same weight class
3. State Champion
4. Determination of coaches
5. Champion of Oakland Co. Tourn. last year in different class
6. State Placer
7. State Qualifier
8. Place winner of Oak. County Tourn. last year
9. Overall Record
Seeding Assignment:
At the seeding meeting, committees will be formed to assist the seeding process for each weight
class at each site. The site seeding and grievance committees are listed below:

Inclement Weather:

 All schools must notify tournament administration by Friday, 10:00 a.m. stating their
intent to attend.

 If a seeded wrestler is not able to compete, the seeds will NOT be adjusted.
 Brackets will NOT be reconfigured.
 The tournament will be canceled if neither team can host due to weather.
 If less than 10 teams are able to compete at each site on Day 1, the tournament will be
canceled.
 If the tournament is canceled, it will NOT be rescheduled.
Work Assignments:
Team Work assignments will be distributed at the seeding meeting.
Athletic Trainers:
Two certified athletic trainers will be onsite both days led by Andrew McDonald, ATC. Tape
and pre-wrap will not be provided. Please bring your own supplies.

Admission:
Adults & Students: $5.00. One admission is good for all day (league passes will not be
accepted). Each school will receive five (5) passes to distribute at their discretion. All others
must pay to enter.
Concession/Apparel:
A concession stand operated by the Oxford Athletic Booster Club. Wrestling Addix will be on
site to sell event shirts again this year.
Lockers, etc.:
Lockers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your own locks and towels.
Oxford Schools will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles.
Parking:
Teams should be dropped off at the North (fieldhouse) entrance. Buses MUST park on the
Southeast side of the building (see map).
