Drum Find a deep and sturdy pot, bowl or a bucket. Get a pack of large balloons. You may want to get a variety of sizes so you can be sure to find one that fits your chosen drum base. Take scissors and cut off the end of the balloon right where it becomes narrow The balloon needs to be stretched over the opening of the pot, vase, or bucket you’re using as the base. Use one hand to hold the balloon over one end of the base while you’re use the other hand to stretch it over the other side. Use a heavy-duty piece of tape to hold the balloon in place all the way round the rim of your drum base. Decorate the drum base. Use chopsticks, pencils or similar items to make drumsticks. Tambourine Maracas Use a single hole punch to punch 5 or 6 evenly spaced holes around the edge of a plastic or paper plate. If you use thin paper plates, you may want to stack 2 plates together for added stability. Find two small empty water bottles and fill these with something to shake, this could be rice, beads, pasta, seeds or something similar then tighten the lid on the bottles. Run twist ties through the middle of each jingle bell and bend both ends towards each other to prevent the bell from falling off the tie. You will need as many bells and twist ties ad you have holes. Attach the jingle bells to the plate. Run the twist ties of each jingle bell through the hole in the edge of the plate. Tie each bell in tightly by twisting the twist tie around itself Decorate your tambourine. To create the handle take 2 toilet paper rolls and make a straight cut from one end to the other. Tighten to roll onto the bottle lid to make a handle. Start wrapping tape around the bottom part of the bottle and move down onto the handle covering all the cardboard. Decorate your maracas.
